Educational Outreach Programs

The goal of Torrey Pines Institute's educational programs is to educate the public, teachers and students regarding the importance of scientific research and all that it has to offer. We aspire to inspire future scientists, and teachers.

Internships
Teachers: inspiring middle and high school teachers to develop resources to bring back to their classroom as well as provide them with a deeper understanding of current lab processes and procedures.
Students: providing opportunities for high school, community college, undergraduate and graduate students in the sciences and support fields to experience working in a laboratory and research institution environment.

Hosting site visits and tours for younger students including Girl and Boy Scout troops, 4H, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, elementary school science classes and home schooled groups.
