Outreach Programs
The goal of Torrey Pines Institute's educational
programs is to educate the public, teachers and students
regarding the importance of scientific research and
all that it has to offer. We aspire to inspire future
scientists, teachers and the public throughout the
Research Coast.
"Research
is to see what everybody else has seen,
and to think what nobody else has thought."
- Albert Szent-Gyorgi
The main components of the program are:
Exploration
Day at Torrey Pines Institute
Hosting
site visits and tours for younger students including

resources to bring back to their classroom as well
as provide them with a deeper understanding of current
lab processes and procedures.
Students:
providing opportunities for high school, community
college, undergraduate and graduate students in the
sciences and support fields to experience working
in a laboratory and research institution environment.
Enhancing
