858.455.3792 - fax
Dr. Kampf completed his undergraduate studies in 1995
at Carnegie Mellon University and received his Ph.D.
in 2000 from Stanford University, both in chemical engineering.
In 1999, he was a Research Intern at ALZA Corporation,
in Mountain View, CA and completed his postdoctoral
studies in membrane biology at Torrey Pines Institute
for Molecular Studies. In 2002, he was named Senior
Scientist in Membrane Biology at TPIMS and the Director
of Research in Biophysics at FFA Sciences.
Research Focus
In collaboration with Dr. Alan Kleinfeld and FFA Sciences,
Dr. Kampf studies fatty acid membrane transport and
disease-mediated alterations in serum fatty acid profiles
using fluorometry and kinetic modeling.
Honors
NIH Graduate Trainee in Biotechnology, 1997 - 1999.
